No. The connector is configured in the dashboard: enter URL, method, headers, and a request body template with placeholders like or . Define the visitor-facing fields the chatbot should collect, and write a prompt that tells the AI when to trigger the call. No backend code needed.
You define fields (e.g. order_id, email) with type, description, and required flag. The chatbot asks the visitor for these in natural language during the conversation, then substitutes them into the API request. Once all required fields are collected, the call is made.
Yes, with response validation rules. After the API returns data, the chatbot checks specified response paths (e.g. billing.email) against visitor-provided fields using equals, equals (ignore case), contains, or not empty comparisons. If validation fails, a configured error message is shown instead of the data.
Yes. The AI can chain connectors automatically, for example: Connector 1 authenticates a customer and returns a token, Connector 2 uses that token to fetch order details. Configure each connector independently and describe the dependency in the prompt; the AI orchestrates the sequence.
